IN A HURY WITH A NEW THERMAL POWER PROJECT

We arrived to Vung Ang 1 thermal power project site in a rainy afternoon. On the road leading to the site, there are so many puddles of rain water and mud, because it is now rainy season here.

Met us at the site, Mr. Khong Huynh Thanh, site manager of Lisemco 2 spoke while brushing away the rain drops from his forehead with the hand “It rains so much here nowadays, but working spirit of the workers is active, whenever it stops raining they save time to work at once, regardless it is day time or night time”.

Climate here is very severe, the sunny season goes the rainy season comes, installation work faces with so many difficulties, but with the installation achievement of 410 tons of air duct among 2200 tons to be installed is a considerable achievement of Lisemco 2’s machinery erectors.

After leaving the site, we visited to the accommodations of the staffs of Lisemco 2, with three long houses, dining room, office, WC area those are fully equipped and clean, at a distance of 1 km on the road to the site. This shows the deeply attention of the General Director particularly and the Leaders of company generally to the living and activities of the Staffs on the construction sites

On the return way, I seemed to hear far-away noisy sound of a site together with working utterly dedicated spirit of Lisemco 2’s workers. I remember exactly the statement same as affirmation of Lisemco 2 Site Manager at Vung Ang 1 thermal power site “Being attended by the leaders from company, the workers work very hard and keep their mind on the work. It is sure that we will complete the installation work before the milestone schedule of May 2012”.
