FIRST SUCCESS AT MONG DUONG 1 THERMAL POWER PROJECT

On 20^th Oct 2011, Mong Duong 1 thermal power project was formally commenced at Cam Pha town, Quang Ninh province. This is the next Thermal power project of which the Owner is Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), and the main contractor is Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd- Korea (Hyundai E&C). This project is built on area of 55ha with investment capital up to USD 1.7 billions.

Mong Duong1 thermal power plant includes 02 Units with total capacity is 1,080MW, power production up to 6.5 billion Kwh/year.

On 14^th Dec 2012 Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation (LILAMA) signed the Fabrication and installation contract with Main contractor (HYUNDAI E&C). For this contract, LILAMA is in charge of installation of all electromechanic equipments of the plant. LISEMCO 2 JSC is assigned to execute the work “ Fabrication, installation & painting of AG piping system”, with the work quantity is 98,977ID, painting area is 3,159 m².Total value equals to VND 37,048,208,525

Right after contract signing, LISEMCO 2 JSC promptly started preparation work such as: site house for the staffs, materials, construction machinery and equipment, safety assurance, and welder qualification. All these were highly evaluated by Hyundai E & C, so the staffs obtain firm mentality before commencing the work.

As planned, the Unit 1 will be completed and put into commercial operation on the first quarter of 2015, and the Unit 2 on third quarter of 2015.

Understanding the importance of the project, LISEMCO 2 staffs, especially workers of LISEMCO 2-2 enterprise, always try best day by day for meeting the time schedule, distributing on economic development speeding up at East-north area of Vietnam.
