AMECC LAUNCHED SUCCESSFULLY THE FIRST 2 MODULES - LONG SON PETROCHEMICAL COMPLEX PROJECT
On the morning of October 16, 2020, AMECC Mechanical Construction Joint Stock Company cooperated with contractors Samsung Engineering and Vietranstimex launched successfully Modules 1, 2 to the barge JMC 2825, marking a great success for AMECC in the development reaching out to the world.
Total weight of the 2 modules (HD-PAR-001 and HD-PAR-002) is 1036 tons, designed in separate blocks, both modules were transported by Vietranstimex to a barge for transporting to and erecting at Long Son petrochemical complex site.
The Southern Petrochemicals Complex (Long Son Petrochemicals - LSP) with a total investment of US $ 5.4 billion, commenced in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. This is the first petrochemical complex in Vietnam with the capacity is up to 1.6 million tons/year, able to replace polyolefins that are currently imported. The project also includes other infrastructure besides petrochemical complex, deep water port.
The project is expected to create about 15,000-20,000 jobs in the construction process, more than 1,000 skilled workers when it goes into commercial operation.
