Signing ceremony with VICEM But Son Cement Joint Stock Company for package 2, the project to utilize waste heat from the gas emission of line 1 and line 2 to generate electricity

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Do Tien Trinh - General Director of VICEM But Son, Mr. Le Manh Hung - Director of VICEM Project Management Board, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - General Director of AMECC, as well as representatives from functional departments/units of both companies and project departments/units.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Le Manh Hung - Director of the Project Management Board, stated that the project utilizing waste heat from 2 production lines to generate electricity is a significant program that contributes to reducing CO2 emissions and protecting the environment, with a sustainable development and green production strategy that uses existing energy sources efficiently, rationally exploits resources, and invests in environmental protection, especially in activities such as waste collection, recycling, and reuse, in accordance with the State's policy and the Ministry of Construction's direction. Once completed, the use of waste heat to generate electricity will provide 20-30% of the current electricity consumption in the context of increasing coal prices, scarce production, and, especially, it will limit emissions of gas, dust, and heat into the environment.

The construction area for the thermal power plant using waste gas is arranged in between the vacant land positions of the existing cement production line. It is located within the factory complex of But Son Cement Plant, located in Thanh Son commune, Kim Bang district, Ha Nam province.
