AMECC - 17th MODULE DELIVERY - LONG SON PETROCHEMICAL COMPLEX PROJECT

17th Module is one of the important modules in the module block of the B&C packages of AMECC Mechanical Construction Joint Stock Company. In the welcoming atmosphere of the new year 2021, with the efforts of not stopping work through the Lunar New Year, this afternoon on February 18, 2021 (the 7th day of the New Year), AMECC Mechanical Construction Joint Stock Company and Vietranstimex has shipped the 17th module at Long Son port.

The Long Son Petrochemical Complex Project is invested by SCG Group (Thailand), with a total registered capital of about 5.4 billion USD, the scale of nearly 400 hectares of land, nearly 70 hectares of land with water surface and about 194 ha of water surface for port. Construction items have been implemented since November 2019, including 3 mechanical construction and installation packages of LILAMA, with a total contract value of nearly 1,300 billion VND. The Long Son Petrochemical Complex is expected to come into operation when it comes into operation with a capacity of 998,000 tons of ethylene, 420,000 tons of Propylene, 113,000 tons of Butadiene, 483,000 tons of PP, 525,000 tons of HDPE, and 525,000 tons of LDPE in a year.

Long Son Petrochemical Complex Project is located in Long Son Petroleum Industrial Park (Vung Tau City), located in the southern key economic region of Ho Chi Minh City-Bien Hoa-Vung Tau, adjacent to Cai Mep-Thi Vai port. This is a national key project, having important implications in the socio-economic development strategy of the country in general, and in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in particular.

By 2023, the Southern Petrochemical Complex is expected to come into operation to help replace and gradually reduce the importation of petrochemical products, providing important fuel sources for the domestic manufacturing industries. At the same time, it creates opportunities to export petroleum products, helps Vietnam appear on the map of petrochemical exporting countries and creates jobs for about 20,000 local workers.

For this major Project, AMECC Mechanical Construction Joint Stock Company (AMECC) is honored to win package B of HDPE plant; Package C, PP plant and some other items.
