LISEMCO 2 SIGNED A CONTRACT ON FABRICATION WORK OF FORMOSA HA TINH PROJECT

On 08/August/2013, LISEMCO 2 JSC signed contracts with Posco E & C Vietnam on steel structure fabrication work of the complex “Cast iron & steel plant and Son Duong deep-water port” Formosa- Ha Tinh.

The scope of work is “Steel structure fabrication of Raw material handling” and “Steel structure fabrication of Hot rolling mill” with the weight around 2,700 tons of steel structure, with the value equaling to VND 80,000,000,000.

The complex “Cast iron & steel plant and Son Duong deep-water port”(abbreviated “The Formosa project”) is one of the major projects of Formosa-Taiwan who invests to Vung Ang industrial zone- Ha Tinh, and this is also biggest FDI project in Vietnam, with total investment amount up to USD 15,000,000,000 taken an area of 3,300 hectares. After building, the plant will become the biggest cast iron & steel plant in Asian South-East. The plant will distribute on stabilization of steel market, minimize the excess of national steel import.

As planned, at the end of 2017 this project will completed building of 03 cupolas and put them into operation with production capacity of 10.5 million tons of steel / year.

Understanding of the importance of the project, LISEMCO 2 commits well executing and ensuring project quality as well as time schedule.
