NGHI SON NAVIGATION LEADING LIGHTS COLUMN PROJECT WITH THE HANDS OF LISEMCO 2 WORKERS

On July 27^th, 2015, Lisemco2 signed the contract with Vietnam maritime safety –North to fabricate and erect the leading lights in Nghi Son port. Weight is over 50 tons.

Leading light is a signal column including two leading lights. They create fixed direction. They notice ships about navigable party and ships can determine position of obstacles.

This is a project related to National technical standards requiring high precision. Installation period of leading lights is very difficult. Contractor must use floating cranes as well as waiting the date of highest tide for installing. Installation time also need to expeditiously execute in the date of highest tide.

Leading light is a product of steel structure installed under sea. So it is easy to be corroded, damaged, products need to be galvanized and painted many multi- coats. Besides, project requires very high demands on safety, each worker in project has to take part in a safety training course from 10 to 15 days. This is a project about ensuring National maritime safety. So inspection and supervision are taken part in by several parties. It takes a longer and stricter on time to complete all procedures.

Within 03 months of schedule, staffs of Lisemco 2 Joint stock Company have finished 80% work volume by high concentration.

Although there are many difficulties on execution period, we have successfully installed the leading lights with enthusiastic support of partners. Image of leading lights is the big encouragement to overall staffs of Lisemco 2. We are proud of contributing a small effort to ensure National maritime safety system.
