The organization of the groundbreaking ceremony for the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant project

On May 5th, 2023, the leadership team of Amecc Mechanical Construction Joint Stock Company held a 'First Cut' ceremony for the equipment fabrication and installation package of the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant project. This is one of the significant events organized when a large-scale mechanical project such as the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant begins its installation and construction

The Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant project (implemented in Vinh Son hamlet, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province) covering an area of approximately 48.6 hectares under the Quang Trach Power Center, was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 428/QD-TTg on March 18, 2016, amending the National Power Development Master Plan for the 2011-2020 period, with a vision towards 2030.

The project consists of 2 generating units with a total installed capacity of 1,200 MW. Once operational, the plant is estimated to contribute approximately 8.4 billion kWh annually to the national electricity grid. The total investment for the project is 41,130 billion Vietnamese Dong, equivalent to 1.86 billion USD (of which 30% is sourced from Vietnam Electricity Group - EVN).

By participating in the equipment fabrication and installation package for the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant project, Amecc will significantly contribute to the construction of one of Vietnam's most advanced thermal power plants. This project stands as a key initiative in the socio-economic development of Quang Binh province, ensuring national energy security as a whole.
