“VIETNAM WELDING KING” AT AMECC

The competition is one of the programs of the Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2017 (VME) at the USSR-Vietnam Friendship Center, which runs from 26^th to 28^th April 2017. The program is built according to the international standards, especially welding technology, which is a key technology for forming many industrial products.

There are 60 contestants from all over the country. Representative of Amecc Mechanical Construction Joint Stock Company is Mr. Trinh Van Son, one of the teachers of Amecc Welding Training Center. In the qualifying rounds, contestants take part in two examinations; "theoretical" and "practical" examinations, in which the theoretical examination is “Instruction on the procedures, methods on welding”, this took place within 2 hours. The contestants went to the "practice of 3G welding on specimens according to AWS D1.1" which took place within 1.5 hours.

With the ability, experience and confidence, Trinh Van Son and 8 other contestants passed the qualifying and entered the final round for selecting the best. Passing the practice on the 6G - 6" x 6 (SMAW + GTAW) on carbon steel pipe specimens, according to ASME IX standard, Mr. Son again showed his spirit, through which he got excellent win of the first prize at the “Welding competition” and was named as the  “Vietnam Welding King”
